Understand dates

Published, received, generated and delivered times mean different things.

What to know

  1. Published: when the publisher dated the article.
  2. Received: when reporting reached the system; this may be later than publication.
  3. Generated: when the AI report was created. Delivered: when an email was sent.
  4. Check historical-context labels and original reporting before describing an event as new.

Done when: You know which date supports your statement.
